VALLEY OF PROGRESS

A retro-futurist adventure series, VALLEY OF PROGRESS follows an unlikely band of citizens living in an isolated mountain valley, charging through an industrial revolution. Progress conjures endless inspiration but its cost is equally limitless. Airships fly over farms as factories send smoke over an arcane forest that holds secrets that can not be hidden forever.

THE MURDE MOUNTAINS

Jean Batsu dreamed of the impossible, and knew it would require the impossible journey to achieve it. Batsu leads nearly a hundred progressive artists and engineers towards a towering impasse. On the other side, he claimed, they would create the greatest city the world has ever seen. Ambition pushes them up through jagged paths and cold, thinning air. The Murde Mountains and their ancient power, unrelentingly push back. As the group continues their pursuit of progress, they begin to question if the cost will be more than any of them have to give.

CHIGOU

If progress is your goal, you will die pursuing it. Sitting in the world's highest mountain valley, such words are what Lord Opaji lives by. Chigou's founder declares his city to be society's greatest accomplishment; a competitive theater for ambitions, ideologies and life itself. A Civil Enforcer searches for a new purpose as he tries to escape the violent conflict of his past. A young farmer strives to make a bigger difference after she takes charge of a child, one tragically snared by a growing conflict. They are all visited by the young heir of an industrial empire, and questions quickly arise over the foreigner's true intentions.As their lives unexpectedly collide, they begin to discover a subversive power emerging from the shadows. They must decide to face the threat, or run towards something else known only through tales and legends. Their decisions will not only change their lives, but could alter the course of their entire society.

THE RED VALLEY

Meek Kolair nearly died in the mountains, quickly ending his dream to make a new life with Nora. They had followed the promise of charismatic industrialist Jean Batsu, to find prosperity and opportunity on the far side of the world’s tallest mountain. Unable to reach the other side, they escaped death by finding a paradise nestled in the middle of the mountain range. A settlement rises up, and nearly a hundred pilgrims work to create their society of progress.Loto, Meek’s challenging brother, convinces the pair to take a quick expedition to survey the exquisite valley. Lord Batsu puts young Martouk in charge of the two, a relief to one brother and an insult to the other. Nora hates seeing Meek go despite a promise to return quickly; merely a simple journey across their newfound paradise.Tensions between the three young men quickly swell despite the idyllic setting they travel through. Petty differences become larger threats when they finally reach the southern end of the valley. A massive, shadowy forest hides the deepest part of the valley but on a journey of discovery, there is no halt of progress. On the other side, the deepest truth of the valley waits to meet them.
